Are you ready to lead a team and ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of a dynamic offshore fleet? As Fleet Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in driving technical excellence and operational efficiency.
In this role, you will oversee maintenance operations, ensure compliance with safety standards, and implement advanced maintenance strategies for our offshore fleet. YOU WILL
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of offshore vessels, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met with precision and efficiency. You will utilize industry-standard tools and processes to maintain operational reliability.
- Manage and continuously improve the Preventive Maintenance System (PMS), ensuring its effective implementation across the fleet to minimize downtime and maximize operational reliability. This includes leveraging data analytics to predict and address maintenance needs proactively.
- Ensure periodic visit to the vessels are carried out as required.
- Lead the enforcement of safe working practices, fostering a strong safety culture, and promoting continuous improvements aligned with QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental) policies. This involves coordinating regular audits and ensuring compliance with ISO standards.
- Provide expert technical guidance to maintenance teams, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, and optimize resource utilization to ensure fleet performance. You will act as the primary technical authority, resolving escalated issues promptly.
- Develop and implement robust technical strategies for the fleet’s maintenance operations, ensuring alignment with broader departmental and organizational objectives. You will also create contingency plans to address unforeseen technical challenges.
- Prepare and manage detailed budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures to achieve financial targets while maintaining high-quality outcomes. Budget preparation will involve detailed analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Attend in the dry-docking of the ships and ensure that the repair and maintenance are carried out timely, satisfactorily and within the budget.
- Drive and champion process improvements, develop and implement maintenance policies, and oversee detailed reporting to meet both internal and external compliance standards. You will also ensure transparency in performance metrics through comprehensive documentation.
- Inspire, coach, and develop your team through effective leadership, clear goal-setting, structured performance management, and training initiatives. You will cultivate a high-performing, motivated team culture.
YOU ARE
- A Marine Engineer (or equivalent) with a Bachelor’s degree, possessing a strong foundation in vessel maintenance and marine operations. Your qualifications should include familiarity with the latest industry trends and technical advancements.
- Experienced with over 5 years in both at-sea and onshore vessel maintenance roles, with at least 5 years in leadership or management positions within the marine sector. Your leadership experience should include managing cross-functional teams and large-scale projects.
- Proficient in Preventive Maintenance Systems (PMS) specific to offshore vessels, with a deep understanding of industry best practices and innovative maintenance methodologies. You have hands-on experience in utilizing digital tools for predictive maintenance.
- Well-versed in QHSE regulations, project management principles, and supplier relationship management, ensuring compliance and operational excellence. Your experience includes conducting risk assessments and leading incident investigations.
- A strategic thinker with advanced analytical skills, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. You excel in identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing effective solutions.
- An effective communicator in English (proficiency in Arabic is a plus), with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills that enable you to motivate and engage teams across diverse cultures. Your communication skills extend to preparing and delivering presentations to stakeholders.
- Familiar with the application of Class Society rules and statutory requirements, with experience in audits and certifications. This includes a track record of successful external audit compliance.
- Certified in relevant safety management systems such as NEBOSH or equivalent, and ideally PMP certified, to demonstrate your commitment to professional development and operational excellence. Additional certifications in ISM/ISO9001 auditing are a strong plus.
