DATA ARCHITECT TO ALIMAK GROUP
Join Alimak Group in this newly created role as Data Architect! You’ll have a key role in our global IT team, owning how data flows across our organization - connecting systems, people, and decisions.

It’s an end-to-end role, combining strategic responsibility for our data architecture and governance with hands-on work designing pipelines, integrating systems, and enabling data-driven decision-making.

YOU WILL
As our Data Architect, you’ll play a critical role in building Alimak Group’s global data infrastructure and help to modernize our global data strategy. You will aid in designing and implementing a modern Azure-based data platform to create a secure, scalable, and insight-driven workspace. You join us when we are implementing Microsoft Business Central across multiple locations — a cornerstone of our Data-Driven Business initiative. Your direct input and hands-on skills will shape the future of our data-driven business from the ground up. This role reports directly to our Group CIO and will drive real, visible impact across the organization. Some of your key responsibilities will be:
Cloud Data Platform & Analytics
- Lead the architecture of our Azure-based data platform, leveraging Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Services for scalability, security, and performance.
- Build data pipelines and integration patterns between ERP, legacy systems and cloud platforms.
- Work with BI developers and analysts to define semantic layers that enable self-service reporting and enterprise-wide KPIs.
ERP & Business Central Implementation
- Take part in defining and implementing the global data strategy for Microsoft Business Central.
- Design and maintain data models, schemas and integrations to ensure consistent and reliable data structures across regions and business units.
- Collaborate with ERP project leads and business analysts to ensure data architecture supports both operations and analytics.
Governance & Standards
- Develop and enforce data governance frameworks to ensure compliance, security, and data integrity.
- Oversee data quality, lineage, and lifecycle management.
- Establish and maintain master data management (MDM) and reference data standards for consistency across systems.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Act as a strategic advisor on data-related initiatives.
- Work closely with infrastructure, application and security teams to ensure data platforms meet enterprise requirements.
- Mentor colleagues and build internal capabilities around modern data architecture and best practices.
YOU ARE
We are looking for an experienced Data Architect with a strong background in data architecture, data engineering and/or enterprise architecture, ideally in a multinational environment with a complex data ecosystem. To succeed in this role, you bring:
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Data Services (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory etc.), Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP platforms.
- Solid experience with data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) and integration design.
- Knowledge of data governance, security frameworks, and compliance standards.
